Russian-style restaurant originally founded in Shanghai, but replicated in Taipei in 1949.  Famous poets/politicians have been a frequent visitor there, adding to its fame and glory.
Located near the old city center of Taipei Main Station, this cafe is rich is history, with decorations that still reeked strong sense of the glorious days.

Borsch soup and beet salad... all very foreign to the diverse cuisine in Taipei.  Simple dishes yet not too cheap.   A soup and salad combo comes at a cost of $580.  I only had their house latte. It was OK, but it costed $180.  Not really worth it...but definitely experience it once, to get a taste of the old scholarly ambience of the mid '50's.
